Ah, the French. We Americans are infatuated with them, non? So why not put a little French liqueur into your holiday with some fresh styling inspired by Chambord? If you have yet to see the ‘Chambord Channel’ you are in for a treat! Their aesthetic is wildly fabulous and their motto ‘Because No Reason’ says it all…
So, we decided to take their look and show you how to get it with an unconventional bar cart styled to set the tone for an avante- garde party scene!
The kind of party where sleigh bells replace ice cubes, the holly grows in lilac, and the champagne bucket likes to shimmy…
But first… let’s start with the basics, shall we? A bar cart, an ice bucket and some vintage coupes…
We selected a simple white plastic container from the floral supply store as our ice bucket (you know that it will be water tight!) and the shape is great on its own. You could stop here if simple is your style, but why should the drinks get all the accoutrements? The ice bucket deserves a makeover!
A bit of fringe, some baubles and beads, and voila! She’s ready to go!
Next? No bar scene is complete without a floral arrangement – but no ordinary vase will do here. A quirky cockatoo? A cool kitty cat? A killer kangaroo? We opted for this deer head – and painted the base citron to pop!
We then plucked the white ‘berries’ off this faux holly and sprayed the leaves lilac to match the bucket’s sassy fringe, then popped them back on for a very fun conversation piece.
And now for the final touch…!
Chambord for all!
Scatter those sleigh bells, pop the bubbly, and add in some Chambord for what is sure to be a fabulous fête!
